LinuxRocks

Linux is here to stay.

Linux Rocks is a internet site where people can talk about Linux and Android.

Hello and welcome to this site.

Linux seems to be showing up everywhere! Why? Because it is rock solid, reliable, and easy to develop for.

Try linux on your PC. Try an Android device. If you tried it in the past and didn't like it, you will like it now. Today, people's lives depend on Linux and it is getting easier and easier to use.

Here are some links:

Easy steps to setup a reliable File Server in your home

Dell ships with Linux pre-installed (scroll down and click the little video in the lower right)

Are you just getting started with Linux?
If you want to try it without touching your hard drive, use a "Live CD".
In my opinion, the best Live CD is Knoppix, click here to download the Knoppix Live CD ISO file
burn the ISO to a blank CD, and try it with no risk.

If you want Linux to be installed on your hard drive, and you are used to Microsoft Windows, then I suggest Linux Mint KDE version.

If you already know how to use MAC, Unix, or Linux, then I suggest Linux Mint Gnome version.

If you want to utilize a really old laptop or desktop that only has 128 MB of RAM or more, then I suggest using Linux Mint Xfce.

Please go to www.linuxmint.com for all versions of Linux Mint.
